About Us

Hanna Thompson - President and Co Founder
I'm Hanna and I am the co-founder of West Coast Cane Corso Rescue. If you've reached out to us, it's me you're talking to.
I am a genuine people and animal lover and obviously, I love Cane Corso! I have been involved in rescue since I was a little girl and have helped all kinds of species! I run a small farm with my family in Nothern California with our own pack of Corsi, a hound and a löwchen. I'm a dedicated mother as well, if I'm not hanging with my kids, you'll likely find me out on the farm with my camel or Horses. And sometimes wrangling my sheep. I enjoy being helpful and lending a hand where I can and that's what makes my day go round.

Alexia Rodriguez - Founder and Dog Behaviorist
I’m Alexia Rodriguez, the founder of West Coast Cane Corso Rescue. I’ve been involved in AKC events with dogs since I was 12 years old. In 2014, after much involvement in the Cane Corso breed, I noticed a great need for a breed specific rescue on the west coast. There were 100s of Corso’s needing to be rescued or rehomed and there were no resources that could join potential adopters to available dogs. I started the Facebook page and website for WCCR as well as evaluated and placed countless dogs over the years.
I’m also a full time dog trainer, AKC Breeder or Merit and an AKC conformation judge. I enjoy everything dogs and spending time with my husband and our friends.
