Why we're here...

As an avid exhibitor and breeder of Cane Corsos and Lowchen, I am always contacted by other dog fanciers when they hear of a Cane Corso that needs a new home. I would love to foster a rescue myself but we live in a very small home. We have 2 rescued dogs in addition to our show and working dogs and they all live happily in our home. I have always wanted to do more for rescue and decided to create this website when I noticed that there wasn't a breed specific regional website for Cane Corsos. With the huge surge in popularity of this breed lots of people are breeding these majestic creatures thinking they can make some money off puppies. These breeders are not screening potential homes and instead sell to whomever can produce cash the fastest and the cycle continues. When folks find they are no longer able or willing to care for their Corso, the breeder will not take the dog back and they end up in shelters. This website acts as a referral site for Cane Corsos in California in need of forever homes, potential adopters and potential fosters. The available dogs can be transported out of state to their forever homes but the adopters will have to organize that with each individual rescue.
If you are interested in fostering a Corso or adopting one, please contact the rescues directly. This information is located below each dogs' photo.
Thank you for stopping by and please check out our referral page for info on trainers who are experienced in working with Cane Corsos.
